|Slate Gravestone for Mary Cromall, Wife of Philip Cromall, 1683, Charter Street Burial Ground, Salem.|
Mary Cromall's slate stone is unusual in its shape and is an exceptional example of early Boston-area gravestone carving. Mary, widow of Robert Lemon, was the third wife of Philip Cromall. The oldest extant stone in the burial ground is for Dorothy Cromall, 1673.
