Exterior of the Manning
House, circa the early 1900s
Remarks
on the Manning House by David Gavenda N.B. The room in which Robert Manning
stored his fruit was not the room to the right of the entry, but to the left,
now the living room of 33 Dearborn. Also, Robert Manning, Sr. did indeed have
four children: Maria (1826-1917), Robert, Jr. (1827-1902), Richard (1830-1904),
Rebecca (1834-1933). Finally, the Manning House was completed in 1824. These
corrections were supplied by Loretta Rainville, current occupant of 33 Dearborn
Street.
